Toastmaster - finding my voice, is a blog and a personal journey of Monica Shanahan's experience through Toastmasters, and to challenge herself, in new situations. Since public speaking is something that Monica has always avoided, due to her at times, pronounced stutter. You will find that she uses a specific speech technique called 'Smooth Speech' which helps with her stutter, and keeps her speech fluent.
In her blog you will see a series of speeches from her Toastmasters events, and other speeches from the (Australian Speak Easy Association), in Canberra. This is a work in progress. Monica has been involved with the Speak Easy Association in Canberra for 9 years.
